Learn Calculus

I loved math when i was a kid, but... Well, I had this whole angsty teenage rebel thing that happened, and I tripped up... Now here I am years later, finally with a real use for math (them damn teachers said it would happen some day!) and I haven't studied it since high school.  So I've been going through some self-teach books, but it's not enough! I'm still no "getting" stuff, the books are assuming that I already know stuff that I don't... It's pretty rough, actually.

So I'm thinking about a tutor? Do they just tutor in addition to somebody else's teaching, or would they work as a sorta personal teacher?
